Short Movie Review: Take A Hike (2012)

Awhile back Blackman ‘N Robin was asked to take a look at a short called ‘The Code’ written and directed by Mark Blitch. We here at BNR were very impressed with Marks work and have hoped we would have the opportunity to see more of his stuff very soon.  Well he has followed up with another short titled ‘Take A Hike’ that took home awards for “Best Comedy” and “Best Screenplay” after being nominated in 12 categories at the 168 Film Festival Awards.

‘Take A Hike’ follows a widowed father (David) who, at his only daughter’s request, goes on a hiking trip with her new boyfriend (Adam) to get to know each other better.  The trip starts off ugly with the father being very reluctant to accept that Adam is the right choice for his daughter, but soon things change.

Taylor Brandt who plays Adam and Todd Terry who plays David do an outstanding job bringing the story across and leave you wanting more.  The storyline is humorous, but heartfelt at the same time.

Again, congrats to all involved in this short and keep the GREAT work coming!! Check out the film in its entirety below and let us know what you think.
