Jourdan Cameron

My name is Jourdan Cameron and I’m the Editor-in-Chief of Blackman ‘N Robin. I’ve been part of the site since it’s beginning, and I absolutely love writing. I run a blog that I’ll occasionally post poetry and stories to– in fact, I’ve just written a novella and am currently in the process of getting it published. I’m a tremendous video game geek, and after I became interested in their history, I wanted to do more with them. Thus, I began writing about video games.
My all-time favorite movie is Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind- it’s an incredible, underrated film that too few people have seen, in my opinion.

Joy-Ann Hazell

My name is Joy-Ann Hazell and I’m a new writer for Blackman ‘N Robin. I have many years behind me in the art of writing, drawing, video games, comic books, movies, music, and much more. I have been a gamer from birth, growing up with Nintendo 64, then the first Xbox, the Wii, and now with a Xbox 360. I have also written many short stories over the years, which led me to writing my own sci-fi comic book, which takes place in space on another world. Another talent that I possess is drawing. I learned to draw by my self when I was bored at school. I’m am a huge fan of movies and TV shows such as; Doctor Who, Sherlock, The X-Men, Heroes, No Ordinary Family, Alphas, Star Gate SG1, Arrested Development, X-Men Evolution, The Avengers, Captain America, Keeping Up Appearances, How Stuff Works, Mythbusters, The Catherine Tate show, Parks and Recreation, The Office, Derek, Torchwood, The IT Crowd, much more. I listen to many kinds of music, from Rock&Roll to Irish. To list a few bands Paramore, Switchfoot, The Corrs, random dubstep, Led Zeppelin, The Box Story, The Naked Brothers Band, Cold Play, and more. For the website I will be doing reviews on games, music, tech toys, and Movies, or anything my boss wants me to write about. Hopefully we will start bring live interviews with the people you want to see.

Thomas Ellis

My name is Thomas Ellis and I’m a writer here at Blackman ‘N Robin. Having done most of my growing up in Taiwan, I used to be heavily into my anime- Doraemon was my favourite until I got older and got into the legend that is Dragonball Z, which I still enjoy watching now and then, and of course I have a couple of games. My tastes matured as I got a bit older, my absolute all time favourite is a split between Yu Yu Hakusho and Ghost in the Shell. As for movies, pretty much everything by Studio Ghibli.

When my family moved to the UK, it became difficult to track down any anime but I stayed pretty geeky! My obsession with gaming that started in Taiwan with a Sega Megadrive (Genesis in the US) poured over into the PlayStation 1 with Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy and Resident Evil keeping me up past my bedtime. From then on I was a self proclaimed Sony man, I snatched a PS2 on release day and a PSP and now I own a PS3 and a PS Vita. As for favourite movies and TV shows, they’re also pretty sci-fi based: The Aliens series is my all time favourite (yes all of them, I have a tattoo to prove it!), I love Tron, Matrix, Star Wars (an obvious one), Indiana Jones, superhero movies and pretty much anything by JJ Abrams, Ridley Scott and Danny Boyle (when they have their SciFi hats on) which nicely leads into my favourite TV show, Fringe. Oh why did it have to end? There’s also Dexter, Breaking Bad but I also love my comedies such Arrested Development (before it got destroyed by Netflix), How I met your Mother, Rules of Engagement and anything Seth MacFarlane touches inappropriately! I realise my taste have a heavy American flavour but I love anything Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright collaborate on like Spaced, Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim etc.

What I love about BNR is Jourdan’s buying power – hey Jourdan I would like so and so game, no problem here is so and so game, simple. I also really like the lesser known side of gaming, namely the indie side that doesn’t get the limelight it deserves. At BNR we are able to cover the little guys. Lastly it’s also the freedom I enjoy at BNR- I can write about whatever I feel like but there’s always support at hand whatever I need.

Oliver Racz

Hi!
I am a Hungarian guy, who spends a lot of time in front of the computer. I am amazed by the technology, and I really enjoy discovering new thing in the world of computers. I am interested in programming, web-design, video games, everything. I really enjoy playing games, usually FPS or TPS styled action games. My dream is to make a successful video game, which will be well known. As for movies, I prefer either comedies that can make me laugh, or action movies that can make me feel excited. If there are elements of both, I can easily be amazed. probably that’s why Zombieland is one of my favorite movies. But if I had to chose my favorite action movie and my favorite comedy, I’d pick The Godfather and The Man Who Knew Too Little. I also like watching TV series, both classic ones, like Married with children or Friends, and series these days, like The Walking Dead, and Breaking Bad. I recently started writing, but I really enjoy “working” at BNR, even if I’m a newbie. That is what you need to know about me, thank you for reading!

    Hi,

This Thursday 12th, QubicGames is releasing a new game on Nintendo 3DS eShop: AiRace Xeno.
It is the fourth game of the AiRace series.

AiRace Xeno is the direct sequel to AiRace Speed, released on the eShop in September 2013. It offers 9 completely new levels set in an original and surprising environment and lets the player pilot 3 brand new jets.
Like its predecessor, it delivers a strong immersion full of speed and adrenaline with high-performance graphics and 3D effect.
The game will be available for 2,49€ / $2,49 / £2,29, in Europe and America.

I would be happy to provide you with a code to download the game and enable you to play it and share your experience with your readers. I can also give you all the necessary materials (screenshots, logo, video) which you will need.
Please let me know if you are interested in a US or EU code?

Besides, on the same day (12th June), QubicGames offers two temporary discounts for other games, which will last for 3 weeks in both Europe and America:

    AiRace Speed will cost 2,99€ / $2,99 / £2,69 instead of 4,99€ / $4,99 / £4,49
    2 Fast 4 Gnomz will cost 2,99€ / $2,99 / £2,69 instead of 4,99€ / $4,99 / £4,49

This means that during 3 weeks, AiRace Xeno and AiRace Speed together will cost almost as much as the regular price of AiRace Speed. That’s a great opportunity for new players to get to know the series with its 2 latest titles.
It would be great if you could also let you readers know about those discounts.

I am looking forward to reading from you and giving you this download code.

    Thanks,
    Mikael from QubicGames
