Wolfenstein: The New Order shows Nazis that won

Wolfenstein: The New Order shows Nazis that won

Here’s a take of history that I found interesting ever since I saw The Producers, a movie where producers (who would’ve thought?) try to put on a terrible play about Hitler winning the war in order to keep the investment money and escape to South America. Immediately after watching this trailer, all I could think of was the moment during his song where the director changed the ending of the play to make the Nazis win because their loss was too depressing: “Wait, there’s more! THEY WIN THE WAR!” It’s just a take I found interesting and might be pretty... Read On

Konami Reveals Voice Actor for Snake in Metal Gear Solid V

Konami Reveals Voice Actor for Snake in Metal Gear Solid V

For quite some time the voice of Snake aka Big Boss aka the guy that gets blown up then reassembled with clone body parts was unknown since David Hayter took to his twitter announcing he would NOT be voicing Snake for the first time in…well EVER. So many fans were absolutely baffled. Why the sudden change from Konami? Of course we should have expected some more surprises from Kojima who just loves make us scratch our heads with every new announcement. Today Konami released their pre-E3 show and of course the broached the subject of Metal Gear Solid V... Read On

Third Street Saints are Back..?

Third Street Saints are Back..?

Deep Silver, the new publisher for the Saints Row franchise since the fall of THQ, has released numerous trailers for the upcoming Saints Row IV, hitting Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows on August 22, 2013. I played the second game of the series first because of a friend. I ended up beating it in just a few days. The series had me hooked. It was everything Grand Theft Auto IV wasn’t. It featured a different kind of protagonist: instead of a depressing foreign gentleman, it featured a psychotic killer who had an almost Walter White quality about him/her. You began... Read On

Deus Ex: The Fall Announced

Deus Ex: The Fall Announced

Deus Ex: Human Revolution  was a great game that featured a fully realized future, with stylized neo-noir architecture and great music too boot. Oh and the gameplay was awesome too and allowed player to create their own unique experience and play style. Aside from some terribly designed boss battles and multiple choice ending forced down our throats, overall it was a great game. So naturally many people would want a sequel and be re-immersed into this world. And guess what…we’re still not getting it. A few days ago Eidos released a teaser announcing the game, but no one... Game News: Tiny Brains Coming to Playstation 4

Game News: Tiny Brains Coming to Playstation 4

If you’re a fan of puzzlers with wacky humor along the lines of Portal, you’re going to want to check out Tiny Brains, an upcoming indie puzzle game that puts you in the shoes of a lab animal trying to escape- you’ve been experimented on and now have superpower that you plan on using to bust loose. The game is built for co-op and was one of my personal favorites at PAX East 2013. If you’re interested in reading more about it, be sure to check out our interview with the game’s creator. As far as the good news about... Read On

Looks Like Young Justice: Legacy is Still Alive

Looks Like Young Justice: Legacy is Still Alive

I felt kind of terribly guilty for not having been caught up with the show Young Justice when it ended- it was a pretty good animated series about sidekicks kicking off and forming their own group. While the series has ended, a while back, a video game based on the show was announced. It’s name was Young Justice: Legacy. For a while, I forgot about it, and assumed it was dead after hearing of the show’s cancellation. Apparently, however, that’s not the case. While reading a press release for Majesco’s E3 2013 lineup, I spotted something that caught my... Read On

God Game Skyward Collapse Out Now: Trailer Here

God Game Skyward Collapse Out Now: Trailer Here

Looks like Arcen Games has just released an interesting new strategy game: Skyward Collapse. I’m a little surprised that I didn’t spot this one earlier- it looks gorgeous. Here’s a bit of info ripped from the official you-know-what: How do you balance — and indeed encourage — a war between factions without letting either side obliterate the other?  How do you rule over gods, creatures, and men who refuse to obey you?  How do you build a landscape of villages when bandits and mythology are conspiring to tear it down?  Skyward Collapse places you into the role of The... Pre-Order Bonuses Announced for Deadpool Videogame

Pre-Order Bonuses Announced for Deadpool Videogame

If you’re a fan of Marvel, then no doubt you love the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool. What’s not to love about the guy? He’s got charm, charisma, knows how to handle a sword, causes lots of mayhem, and he’s got voices inside his head to boot. So naturally someone was bound to give him his very own game. And no one is more excited by this than Deadpool himself who seems to have highjacked Highmoon Studios and Activision’s e-mail because he just let spill the pre-order bonuses for his upcoming game. Don’t believe me? Read for yourself: Best... Read On

Batman Arkham Origins Trailer Released

Batman Arkham Origins Trailer Released

Last week WB Montreal released a teaser for the Batman Arkham Origins trailer. I don’t know what sense that made, but it got people curious about the actual trailer. Well today they have released the full trailer for your viewing pleasure and it is all kinds of badass. Of course it’s just a cinematic trailer much like what was done with the previous two games and tries to set the tone for yet another long night for Batman.   Hopefully when it comes time to fight Deathstroke in the game it will be this intense. But honestly I just hope... Read On

Game News: McDroid Interview and Preview

Game News: McDroid Interview and Preview

As of late, we’ve been drowning in beautiful new releases- one game that captured my attention (and my heart) is McDroid, by Elephantopia. It’s an action strategy game in which you play as a robotic strawberry farmer trying to protect his crops from unusually aggressive worms. The game boasts a lovely cel-shaded aesthetic rather like Borderlands or Jet Grind Radio and gameplay that’s quite reminiscent of Pikmin. We got to chat with the creator of McDroid, Laurent Lavigne, and in addition to getting some insights on his upcoming game, we got a neat look into the mind of the artist himself- the interview... Game Preview: Anomaly 2

Game Preview: Anomaly 2

When Anomaly: Warzone Earth was released back during the beginning of 2012, the title received great praise for everything it did correctly, and the content it brought gamers was unparallelled to most of the other titles that were competing in the same market. Anomaly not only gave gamers eye candy with very vivd and colorful graphics- even for the consoles it was released on- but complemented it’s visuals with an amazing soundtrack, meaty gameplay, and even a story that wasn’t dull enough to get gamers to quit. In addition to that is how well made the code of the game itself was-... Read On

New Trailer for GTA V Shows Off Characters

New Trailer for GTA V Shows Off Characters

Let’s be honest, despite all the delays, we’re all still excited for Grand Theft Auto V. We’ve only had glimpses at the gameplay and not much info has been shared about all of the characters other than what Rockstar has said in interviews. But now they’ve released a series of trailers, each one focusing on one of the three characters we’ll be playing as. I’m still very curious to see how the game handles playing as three different characters. Though from the looks of things, it will be tons of fun. GTA V is expected to ship for the Xbox... Read On

Batman: Arkham Origins Announced

Batman: Arkham Origins Announced

We all love the Batman games. Rocksteady took one of the most iconic characters in history and gave him not one, but two fantastic games. And after the amazing experience of Batman Arkham City, fans wanted more. Well sure enough, we’ll get it. GameInformer announced today with the reveal of their May cover, that there will be a new Batman game titled Batman: Arkham Origins and it will take place years before the events of the first two games. That’s right- let the excitement sink in because I can barely contain it myself. And yes that is indeed Deathstroke, which means... Read On

Game News: Thief Reboot Gets a Trailer

Eidos is hard at work bringing Garret back to gamers with the new Thief reboot. And to get you more excited for it the first trailer for the game has been released. Game News: Phantom Pain Officially Announced as Metal Gear Solid 5

Game News: Phantom Pain Officially Announced as Metal Gear Solid 5

During the VGAs, gamers were shown an interesting trailer that featured someone who resembled Big Boss from the Metal Gear franchise. The title to the game was Phantom Pain. Now if you couldn’t see that this was clearly the next entry in the franchise then you shouldn’t call yourself a gamer. Well during the GDC Kojima Productions has made it official, the next game in the franchise is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The game will once again focus on Big Boss as he deals with yet another convoluted plot to destroy the world by some sinister... Read On

Game News: Pandora’s Tower

Game News: Pandora’s Tower

If you honestly believed that the Wii was truly going to go out without a boom, then you are clearly mistaken. Besides the two amazing RPG titles that already came out –Xenoblade Chronicles and The Last Story -another title known as Pandora’s Tower is also in the running to come out alongside those two in the United States thanks to “Operation Rainfall”, or in short “Oprainfall”. In short, this operation was a fan campaign in order to persuade Nintendo of America to localize those three titles in the US. Just like the other two titles listed before, Pandora’s Tower... Game News: Steampunk Undersea Puzzling? You Must See Fathom!

Game News: Steampunk Undersea Puzzling? You Must See Fathom!

Another sickstarter project? That was the first thing I thought when I looked at Fathom- it seems that Kickstarter might as well open up its own little version of Steam for all the games that come through there. That said, upon further examination I realized that Fathom was a lot more awesome than I was giving it credit for. Disregarding my disdain for the glut of games seeking crowdfunding (not that there’s anything wrong with it, come to think of it), Fathom looks absolutely brilliant. The game centers on Daniel, a well-to-do Londoner driven to build a bathysphere and explore the Bermuda Triangle after a... Read On

Game News: Google Turns Websites into Marble Madness

Game News: Google Turns Websites into Marble Madness

I’m sure many of you gamers have played Marble Madness or some variation of it. I’m sure some of the fine folks over at Google have as well since they didn’t seem content with the game itself. They took it one step further: by allowing you to play on the internet, literally. Google have developed their own marble maze game which uses actual websites as levels. And if that wasn’t enough, you can use either you Android or iOS to play the game. I swear I’m not making this up. I’ve tried the game out myself and it is... Read On

Game News: Dust: An Elysian Tail Coming to Steam!

I had the pleasure of hearing this news while at PAX East- Dust: An Elysian Tail will be released on Windows via Steam. Mr. Dodrill doesn’t have a specific date quite yet, but the excellent action RPG is going to be available to all those on PC who haven’t had the pleasure of playing on the Xbox now have the opportunity to enjoy Dust in all its beauty- perhaps with a little something extra? Maybe a neat developer’s commentary will be added- the Dust panel at PAX East 2013 featured a modified version of the game that included bits of information on... Read On

Game Preview: Drunken Robot Pornography

Game Preview: Drunken Robot Pornography

Drunken Robot Pornography is probably the oddest name of any video game title since the Super Nintendo era, and in all honesty the title doesn’t matter in the long run- even though being it might be a huge turnoff- since the game overall has the feel that it provides, which is to give the player a crazy, fun experience, and in all honesty it does do exactly that. The alpha version of DRP (Drunken Robot Pornography) offers the player a chance to first of all experience the campaign mode of DRP, and an overall chance to build their own... Read On

Unfortunately there aren’t very many details quite yet, but it looks like a video game based on the upcoming Pacific Rim is coming later this year from Yuke’s, the developers behind the WWE and UFC game adaptations, as well as the Real Steel game from a couple years back. Here’s some info from the press release: Yuke’s Co., Ltd.
