New Justice League Teaser from SDCC

New Justice League Teaser from SDCC

Warner Bros. has given this year’s Comic Con attendees quite a treat- in addition to a sweet first trailer for Wonder Woman, an introductory teaser for Justice League released. I’m not going to spoil any of what it contains up here. Just watch it embedded below. Alright, so now that you’ve seen it, what do you think? Personally I’m cautiously optimistic for this one- a bit more than for Wonder Woman since this reminds me a little more of Batman v. Superman in style and tone- what’s worse, it doesn’t seem that the characters are going to be written the way that they are in... Read On

Wonder Woman Trailer Debuts at SDCC 2016

Wonder Woman Trailer Debuts at SDCC 2016

Hot news everybody- the 2016 San Diego Comic Con has delivered a first trailer for the upcoming Wonder Woman– starring Gal Gadot, this movie is coming out on June 2, 2017- we have the first trailer here for your viewing pleasure. I’m honestly not sure what to think of this. On the one hand? I’m tremendously excited for see the DC cinematic universe finally beginning to spread its wings, and at long last, we get a female led superhero movie (sorry, Elektra). On the other hand? I really hated Batman v. Superman largely because it failed to do its characters justice, and... Read On

New Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Trailer Looks Awesome and Different

New Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Trailer Looks Awesome and Different

For the next few years, we’re going to be seeing a lot of Star Wars… Everything. Disney owns the franchise and, as is tradition, they’re going to milk it for everything it’s worth. In between the main films in the franchise, expect to see an assortment of spinoffs- coming out this December is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is a significantly worse title than Star Wars Rogue One, but I have to say that I’m excited for it based on the latest trailer. Set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Rogue One stars Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso; she’s part... Read On

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 Coming Out in March – First Trailer!

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 Coming Out in March – First Trailer!

One of my family’s favorite movies is My Big Fat Greek Wedding– it’s something that we whip out at least once every two years, and with good reason: it’s one of the best romantic comedies ever. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a sequel is underway and will be coming out on March 25, 2016- and it looks like everybody’s back. The official trailer is embedded below! Nothing could be more right with the world. At least, nothing could be more right with my little world right now. As mentioned before, the cast from the original film is returning, including... Hitman: Agent 47 – Thoughts on the Trailer

Hitman: Agent 47 – Thoughts on the Trailer

Some might say the pen is mightier than the sword. In Agent 47 however, the Hitman’s guns are mightier than just about everything. Hitman: Agent 47, the cinema adaptation of our beloved stealth games, is drawing closer to its August premier.  Despite only stumbling upon the trailer last week, I couldn’t help but bring another gamer’s perspective to the discussion. Agent 47 seems like his smooth, cold, deadly self in the trailer, and I’m excited to see Rupert Friend bring him to life in ways that animation never could.  I’m only concerned that I’ll be bored when we aren’t focused on... New Tomorrowland Trailer Released

New Tomorrowland Trailer Released

Fantastic news if you’ve been waiting for more information on Disney’s live-action time-and-space hopping adventure, Tomorrowland: there’s a new trailer, and we have it for your viewing pleasure. Thus far, this looks like one of Brad Bird’s more ambitious projects; I have the feeling it’ll pay off when the film comes out on May 22, 2015. The movie, which stars George Clooney as a former boy genius (try putting that on a resume), Britt Robertson as a girl who finds herself getting dragged through dimensions and Hugh Laurie as a character named David Nix, who plays an important role in the film, I’m... A Year of Ghost in the Shell

A Year of Ghost in the Shell

So it would seem that Ghost in the Shell keeps getting more and more support.  Just last year Ghost in the Shell: Arise, an OVA prequel to the 2004 series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex was released in America.  Now it would seem that not only are we getting a new Ghost in the Shell feature coming to Japan summer 2015 (evident by this teaser) but Hollywood has revived the plan to make a Ghost in the Shell live action adaptation. Before I start on the live action movie, let us start with something that has a... Read On

Sony’s Dirty Laundry Just Got Leaked

Sony’s Dirty Laundry Just Got Leaked

From leaked Social Security numbers, celebrity phone numbers, and movie scripts, it seems that Sony Pictures is under some hot water. The major film/electronics company has recently been under a so-called ‘cyber attack’ after the controversial film The Interview (which features Kim Jong Un’s head being lit on fire) was premiered in LA and started a ridiculously insane hacking frenzy from supposed Korean Hackers. What does this mean to us movie-goers? A lot. Denzel Washington was labeled as ‘un-profitable’ by Sony executives because he’s black. Think he’ll ever work on a movie by Sony again? I think not. Angelina Jolie... Read On

DC Comics’ Cinematic Universe Line-Up Announced.

According to Slate.com Warner Bros. is planning to produce 10 new DC superhero movies in the next 6 years. And after some extensive research I have been able to compile the list of movies and the details of who will be cast to play the roles of our beloved DC characters. The description of movies gets shorter since there is limited information for those who will be released in 2018. Note: This list in chronological order and is accurate unless otherwise stated. All sources will be mentioned at end of post.    Batman V Superman – Release Date: March 25th 2016... Read On

First Trailer Out for The Force Awakens (Spoiler: It’s Awesome)

First Trailer Out for The Force Awakens (Spoiler: It’s Awesome)

Everybody panic. OK, don’t panic, because you might miss the trailer. You’re excited and you know it. Alright, hype aside, there’s not very much information about the movie that I can reap from the trailer- John Boyega’s a stormtrooper, Daisy Ridley is out for a ride, X-Wing Fighters fly over water, oh, and somebody whips out a lightsaber that seems to have a little extra going for it. Is this Lupita Nyong’o’s as of yet unknown character? Is this our next big villain? So many questions, so few answers. Considering the last three films, would it be wise to lower your defenses and... I try not to get to excited for movies to are coming out a long ways down the road, but as a fan of the series this has me pretty darn excited.   Sly Cooper breaks into theaters in 2016. Read On

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer Released

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Trailer Released

Well folks it’s finally here, the first (public) trailer for Sony’s Amazing Spider-Man 2 and it is extremely action packed. From what I’ve seen in this trailer (and the SDCC trailer as well) this looks to be a great, fun sequel. My only concern is there may be too many villains in this film which could lead to all sorts of problems in the story department. These studios really need to learn to pace themselves. Amazing Spider-Man 2  arrives in theaters May 2, 2014. Read On

First Trailer For RoboCop Reboot

First Trailer For RoboCop Reboot

For many of us movie fans, we all love the original RoboCop film. So of course Hollywood decided it was time to reboot the franchise and despite our grunts and moans about it, it is real and this trailer makes it all the more so. I honestly don’t know how I feel about the film after seeing this trailer. There are some cool and interesting things in there, but at the same time there are some very terrible design choices that make the film come off as trying to be hip and edgy. And can someone explain to me... Read On
